As in previous years, Insights 2019 kicked off with a welcome cocktail reception. As guests arrived at the Hilton Minneapolis, they were greeted by their peers and DCMS business partners in the swanky Hilton Gallery for savory appetizers. In an intimate setting, our clients mingled and caught-up with one another after a year apart.

After a full day of discussing trends and the future of account receivable management and specialty receivables, a post conference event followed at Topgolf.

The Details

September 19 - Keynote Workshop – Still Standing. Still Smiling. Hosted by John Kriesel.

Still Standing, Still Smiling - SSG John Kriesel

At this year’s client conference keynote workshop, SSG John Kriesel spoke on the power of positivity, aptly titled Still Standing, Still Smiling. A sought-after motivational speaker, John travels the country sharing his story, inspiring and motivating others. Kriesel’s intensely positive attitude infects every person he presents to, from cub scouts to senior corporate executives, as he relays lessons learned overcoming extreme tragedy.

After the keynote, our attendees had a chance to meet John individually to share their own stories. John connected to those in the audience on a deep level.

Here are a few things our attendees had to say about the keynote workshop:

|“John was excellent! Great keynote speaker, thank you for having him!”

|”John was great, as his message could be relayed to any industry. Keep standing tall and never give up, no matter what the scenario.”

|“The keynote speaker was fascinating!”

DCMS Updates

Each year, a portion of the conference is dedicated to highlighting organizational initiatives and updates, as well as industry happenings ranging from culture to compliance.

Following John’s powerful keynote, DCMS’ very own Chief Compliance Officer/Senior Counsel, Martha Hanson and ISO & Sr. Director, Enterprise Risk Management, Rubin Perelman gave an important compliance and information security update on key changes impacting the industry.

Chief Technology Officer, Dereck Eastman and Chief Operating Officer, Tracey Bannochie followed with an update on DCMS’ suite of proprietary technologies used to enhance operations and customer experience.

Executive Panel

New to Insights 2019, DCMS hosted an Executive Panel for all attendees. This offered clients’ a chance to ask anything of the senior leadership team, in a panel forum. Early feedback confirms that the panel was extremely relevant and exactly what clients were craving!

Industry Roundtable Sessions

Every year industry roundtables are part of the conference agenda. Just prior to the roundtable sessions, Tiffany Jansen and Krystina LeClair kicked off with a group game, to get everyone chatting and ready to enter the roundtables with some energy. Roundtable participants were divided into small groups and given relevant discussion points regarding common challenges, process enhancements, and trends within their respective industries.

These roundtables are consistently rated as the most valuable activity during the conference. The opportunity for clients to freely discuss current industry trends and specifics on specialty receivables fosters great conversation and ideas to make enhancements to processes.

 |“The round table was good at the end of the day. It gave us the opportunity to network and compare strategies”

Closing Reception

Each year, the closing event serves as a chance for attendees to decompress by having fun with their industry peers in an informal setting. DCMS likes to think of it as a “thank you” to the attendees for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend this event every year.

This year, on a beautiful September evening, DCMS hosted clients at Topgolf for an evening of golfing, cocktails, and dinner. Some chose to play serious games, while others casually enjoyed all the amenities the facility offered. It was the perfect way to end a day of learning and connecting with industry peers.

Closing

On behalf of the entire DCMS team, we would like to thank our clients and business partners for their attendance and participation. Each year we leave the conference feeling energized and inspired, this year was no different. Our partnership is invaluable, and your collaboration helped us produce the best Insights yet!
