Finally, A Comprehensive Estate Account Management Application

Finally, A Comprehensive Estate Account Management Application

Ever since the dawn of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) in 1977, collectors have been subject to strict state and federal communication guidelines with little room for actual dialogue, and for good reason with the support from the Consumer Financial Protect Bureau (CFPB) in their recent proposed rules for debt collection, collectors and borrowers have now found common ground in frictionless debt resolution through electronic communication. Enter the industry-pioneering, comprehensive estate management application, DCMS ServiceLink®.

In January 2017, after nearly a year of planning, development and testing, DCM Services launched the most comprehensive online estate management application for all persons handling the affairs of the estate, including attorneys, Personal Representatives (PRs), and survivors alike. The initial launch involved a single beta client, and the application had only three features: the ability for users to submit payment, send comments, and submit Right Party Contact (RPC) information for future communication needs. By late 2017, the application was officially branded DCMS ServiceLink, welcoming eight clients and hosting an additional 27 by the end of 2018. Today, nearly every one of our clients are managing their estate accounts with DCMS ServiceLink.

Several recent features added to DCMS ServiceLink have shifted the paradigm of how DCM Services approaches recovery operations. Where communication options were once limited, we’ve now been able to create a way for consumers to have a choice on how to work with our representatives.

At the center of all development at DCMS, is the desire to deliver products and services which embody the same compliant and compassionate business practices of which DCM Services has championed for over twenty years. With secure site log in, accessibility audits, as well as robust testing policies and procedures, we ensure that we are delivering the best product to market. Our wealth of knowledge and experience has continuously indicated a strong desire from consumers to communicate electronically rather than over the phone, especially during times of bereavement

The collections industry in its current state still has many obstacles to overcome, communication being first and foremost. At DCM Services, we continuously work to bridge the communication gap between collectors and consumers.  DCMS ServiceLink will continue to evolve with many new capabilities on the horizon.
