estate location

Unlike the bankruptcy process in the U.S. which is neatly administered through 90 judicial districts across the country, the probate process is managed in a much less coordinated manner through the nation’s 3,141 county probate courts. Hundreds of thousands of estate records are added to the courts every year and with no central database available to help locate estates, finding estates in the U.S. is a complicated task. Fortunately a solution exists.

Nearly 20 years ago, DCM Services’ Chairman Jim Balogh developed a solution called Banko® to collect and consolidate U.S. bankruptcy filings on a national level. Jim was tremendously successful in this effort, and today Banko® is the defacto bankruptcy standard for the collections industry.

During much of that time, a similar solution for probate did not exist. But now the probate process is catching up. In fact, backed by 10 years of probate research and experience, Banko® creator Balogh has built a similar system for estates called the Probate Finder® Solution.

Today the Probate Finder® Solution is the collections industry’s most advanced estate location technology. With a database of nearly two million estate records, scalable estate data collection methods and advanced matching algorithms, the Probate Finder® Solution is the only national estate solution available.

The Probate Finder® Solution is complemented throughout the estate location effort by DCM Services’ DOD Finder™ Database. Fast, accurate verification of death helps credit grantors reduce fraud and after-date-of-death (ADOD) charges, accelerate recoveries and increase the number of claims filed before estates expire.
